A Thrilling Surprise From My Buddy Dane

, ,

I am excited to learn a thrilling surprise from my buddy, Dane Warren, who I wrote about in my You Gave Me One Reason To Continue story.

Dane performed at the White Rock Sea Festival to a huge audience.

We had front-row seats beside Mandy Rushton, a talented singer, and his longtime partner.

Also at that performance were Bianca Salazar and Rocky Anderson, actor friends who were also in Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding Show with Dane and me.

Regular readers will remember the several previous stories I’ve written about Dane’s awesome performances as a solo singer and as part of the MAD Jazz Live trio, who often played to sold-out shows at various venues in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

Sold out performance at Massey Hall, New Westminster (2019)

And here is a video clip after that awesome performance by Dane.

Helen, Annette, and I attended a number of MAD Jazz Live performances in downtown Vancouver. MAD represents the trio’s names: Mandy, Aaron, and Dane.

We always made a reservation for a front-row table.

Here is a link to a special story I wrote about Dane’s solo and MAD Jazz LIve performances.

After you read that story, I am sure you will also become a Dane Warren fan!

Mandy has not been able to continue performing with MAD Jazz LIve because of surgery she had done, but when I spoke with her at the White Rock Sea Festival last Sunday, she told me about two exciting things:

First, she announced that she and Dane are now engaged to get married!

The second thing she told me was that Dane is a singer in the Relive The Music of the 50s and 60s Rock N’ Roll live shows performing at venues across Canada – from coast to coast!

And I have friends in most cities where they are scheduled to perform.

The link to the Relive The Music website includes the schedule of upcoming shows, and if Dane is scheduled to play in your city, I hope you will purchase a ticket.

And please let me know if and when you plan to attend one of the shows – so I can let Dane know.

Better still, please take a video clip of the performance and send it to me, so I can add your clip to this story!

And be sure to tell Dane, after the show, that Danny sends his love!

By the way, you will not be disappointed.

I haven’t told Dane I consider him my adopted son and Mandy my adopted daughter.

I love them both deeply, and I hope you’ll purchase a ticket to see him if Dane is scheduled to play in your city.

And congrats on your engagement with Mandy.

She is one of my favorite gal pals, and you are very lucky to have such a beautiful fiance!

You were made for each other.

But your engagement has probably broken the hearts of many of your female fans, who have a ‘rush’ on you!

And that’s because when you are performing, you seem to be looking directly at each and every one of them, and each gal thinks you are singing directly to them!

But you will still be a heartthrob to all of them.

Break a leg, Dane!

Dedicated to Dane Warren and Mandy Rushton

I hope my stories are a gift to your head and heart.

Hugs,

Danny

Today’s tune from Deanny’s library (purchased):

More Than Words – Extreme

Saying “I love you”
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It’s not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew

How easy it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know

What would you do
If my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real

What would you say
If I took those words away?
Then you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”

La-di-da, da-di-da
Di-dai-dai-da
More than words
La-di-da, da-di-da

Now that I’ve tried to
Talk to you and make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands and touch me

Hold me close, don’t ever let me go
More than words is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know

What would you do
If my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real

What would you say
If I took those words away?
Then you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”

La di da, da di da, di dai dai da
More than words

La di da, da di da, di dai dai da
More than words

La di dai, dai dai, di dai dai da
More than words

La di dai dai da
La la da da
More than words

La di dai dai da
La la da da
More than words

Oooh uuuuh uuuh
Uuh More than words

    1. Thanks Bonnie, but that clip with Helen, Dane and me, was in 2019 – a few years before my jawbone surgery etc. You might not be able to understand my voice now, but it could always be worse! When Dane performs in the Maritimes, I hope you, Billy, and the rest of the squad are able to see his show. The 50s and 60s will always be my favourite music of all time. Hugs and Love, Dan
